Thursday night, why not rage-out?

Also this is going to be my last night with the rest of the band until our west coast tour in april, I'm going to be leaving on a tour with All Teeth from California. I'm still gonna be posting updates and fliers while I'm gone so don't stray too far.

spiral mind.
Last night we played the Ryland house with our friends Rebuilt from Washington (thanks to lepp and phil for fixing the pipes.) All of yesterday was a blur for me pretty much, I honestly can't remember what I ended up doing all day but by the time I started paying attention Donovan, Miles, and I were smoking blunts and waiting for local friends Crime Time to finish setting up. Once they finished their set we decided to wait an hour before we set up to let our friends show up, and honestly to drink more beer before we play. A grip of beers and an hour later I was on my way to my house to grab my drums, when I got back the party was bumpin (good timing.)

There were only three bands on the bill which was tight because I hate 10 band shows on monday nights. About 20 minutes later all of our gear was set up and not to our surprise at all, Jake, Miles and I are too fucking high to even be behind our own equipment let alone a crowded basement of people waiting for us to play. I'm pretty sure Ryan was so drunk he didn't even know who's guitar he was playing on (it was his.) After a minute of us talking as a band completely ignoring the fact that there's STILL people waiting for us to play we decide to start our set off with a newer jam that we don't have recorded yet called "Crop Circles." We blew threw our set pretty quickly, and got out of Rebuilt's way so they could make up for lost time, that we lost. Rebuilt played a great set, covered Rage Against The Machine, then disappeared into the night. I didn't see them at all after that.

After the show I don't know where the rest of my band went (its starting to look like I blacked out), but for the rest of the night I sat on the same couch for about an hour while Jillian and Liz piled on top of me singing every word to an entire playlist from Liz's iPod.. and if you know Liz you might laugh at this. Same couch and many laughs later I moved onward towards the homestead where I watched Dave Chappelle's "The Lost Episodes" and ate a healthy batch of tater tots. stew on that.

As I sit bored and tired I remember a time when we had a show booked with locals Slasher and The Xenophobes, both well drawing punk bands. The venue was Shea's Tavern which is also a bar, and if you didnt know, only one member of our band is of age to drink. Unlike other places in Reno, apparently Shea's has a problem with letting underage bands play their room. When we showed up we got a call saying they had immediately I.D'd all of our "merch crew" (homies that spent their show money on beer) and sent them home before we even showed up (there were like 12 kids so it kind of makes sense but fuck that).

Anyways after arguing with the bartender and "security" for about 10 minutes on a couple different occasions and drinking 40s outside, figuring out if we should even play because none of our friends or slashers friends could get in and the only people there were our singer Miles' parents, Wilma and Mark, and some drunk guy who went on to tell us that we were accomplished musicians even though he didnt see us play, we decided that we were gonna pack up and head back to the iBall to play after the Sacramento HOODS.

When we showed up the Hoods had just started playing so I watched half their set, and went outside to set up my drums. While carrying my shit in I noticed a fight beginning to break out, and getting to the top of the stoop I see Miles and Morgan(Violent Ruler) yelling at each other about the pipes in the basement being broken. Looking around I saw a crowd of straight edge kids wet as fuck, looking un-happy. Miles had ripped the plumbing from the ceiling and covered the basement in fresh piss and shit. After talking it over with the band we decide not to play in a piss filled basement, end the show and continue to destroy the living room to our friend Gil spinning techno records from downstairs through the upstairs stereo, and Boss talking tons of shit to Donovan through the microphone. After a couple wall-holes, broken 40s on the couches, puke on the stoop and a few fights, I hit the bong a few times and went to sleep listening to Ante Up by M.O.P. This was last night.
Whats up all, we havent posted in a while (obviously) we've been pretty busy writting, booking, playing, ect.. but more realistically partying like the world is coming to an end. We do have news for you though, thats a start right? We will be going solo in the month of april for a thorough west coast tour. We head out April 2nd and will be returning the 25th. The dates we have booked are posted on our myspace for now, if you can help out with any of the TBA's please do. We'll have a tour flier and all that once all the ends meet. For now sit back have yourself a big 40 and relax. We'll be there soon.
