Last night we played the Ryland house with our friends Rebuilt from Washington (thanks to lepp and phil for fixing the pipes.) All of yesterday was a blur for me pretty much, I honestly can't remember what I ended up doing all day but by the time I started paying attention Donovan, Miles, and I were smoking blunts and waiting for local friends Crime Time to finish setting up. Once they finished their set we decided to wait an hour before we set up to let our friends show up, and honestly to drink more beer before we play. A grip of beers and an hour later I was on my way to my house to grab my drums, when I got back the party was bumpin (good timing.)
There were only three bands on the bill which was tight because I hate 10 band shows on monday nights. About 20 minutes later all of our gear was set up and not to our surprise at all, Jake, Miles and I are too fucking high to even be behind our own equipment let alone a crowded basement of people waiting for us to play. I'm pretty sure Ryan was so drunk he didn't even know who's guitar he was playing on (it was his.) After a minute of us talking as a band completely ignoring the fact that there's STILL people waiting for us to play we decide to start our set off with a newer jam that we don't have recorded yet called "Crop Circles." We blew threw our set pretty quickly, and got out of Rebuilt's way so they could make up for lost time, that we lost. Rebuilt played a great set, covered Rage Against The Machine, then disappeared into the night. I didn't see them at all after that.
After the show I don't know where the rest of my band went (its starting to look like I blacked out), but for the rest of the night I sat on the same couch for about an hour while Jillian and Liz piled on top of me singing every word to an entire playlist from Liz's iPod.. and if you know Liz you might laugh at this. Same couch and many laughs later I moved onward towards the homestead where I watched Dave Chappelle's "The Lost Episodes" and ate a healthy batch of tater tots. stew on that.
